Surely a favorite of Dark Helmet, this black lager has rich nutty and toast malt aromas, with hints of chocolate. These carry through to the flavor, which is deceptively smooth up front, and builds towards hints of bittersweet chocolate on the finish, which is dry. Lighter and more drinkable than other dark beers, The Schwarz is a crushable dark beer.
